Global Banking

HSBC’s global capabilities and footprint allow our Global Banking teams to provide a single coverage point for multinational clients operating internationally. Offering vast expertise and local knowledge, especially in emerging markets, Global Banking products and services have been designed to meet the global financial needs of our clients, whatever and wherever they are.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Global Banking Officer.

In this role, you will:

·To identify bankable business opportunities for the bank

·To provide outstanding client service support for locally based Global Banking customers across all sectors

·To support the business development plans of Global Banking on a local basis

·To complete ad hoc tasks as requested

·To assist the preparation of all documentation relating to credit facilities

·To liaise with other departments to solve customers' enquiries

·To assist in liaising with customers on all issues relating to their account operations with HSBC in China (not limited to Shanghai only)

·To perform simple financial analysis and assist in writing reviews

·To assist in management reporting and updating information on the Corporate Banking database

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

·Relevant university degree (recognized by the state) or equivalent professional qualifications;

2 to 5 years experience in corporate or general banking with exposures to PRC large corporates or multinational companies;

·Good knowledge of local banking environment and good understanding of Chinese corporates' specific banking behavior;

·Sound knowledge and working exposure to corporate banking products (such as lending, payment and cash management, trade services, and treasury, etc);

·Strong interpersonal and communication skills with adequate confidence to deal with senior management of large Chinese corporates;

·Good written and spoken English skills;

·Self motivated and able to work with good level of independency.
