Area Sales Manager
Reports to :
Regional Sales Manager
General Purpose of the Job:
Working with distributors to generate Sales, Monitor the business opportunities. Ensure revenue and profit growth in the designed territory
Main Responsibility Areas
- Monitor business opportunity in designed territory.
- Leading the negotiation with key customers and close the deals together with distributors’ sales force.
- Collect the related market information, analysis and present to the company, also closely working with distributors to explore more business opportunities.
- Effectively communicates distribution goals, business practices, and programs to distributors
- Understands the issues and needs of the distributors within the territory
- Understands the key performance indicators that leverage the distributor’s business
- Works with distributors’ staff to close commercial sales. Ensures distributors’ staff presents our products to all potential sales leads
- Search, develops and maintains relationships with top decision-makers
- Completes detailed customer profiles and plans
- Build win/win relationships with distributors
- Ensures distributors accounts are adequately supporting company’s product line
- Works with distributors to prepare sales forecasts and reports
- Develops and presents plans, programs and strategies that ensure company and the distributors meet their revenue and market share targets.
- Collects data from distributors contacts that shows trends in current market areas and leads to new ideas for untapped market
- Assists distributors in managing business plans to ensure revenue and profit targets achieved
- Attends designated trade shows, cultivates client relationships, and represents the company in a professional manner
- Other ad hoc works assigned by manager
Needed Competencies Proficient in English, selling skills, persuasiveness, customer service, follow up, integrity and professionalism, self supervise are important factors in daily administration of this position
Education
Bachelor degree or above with a concentration in Sales is preferred
Needed Work Experience
Have working knowledge of the commercial fitness, business practices; Successful sales track record and target achievement, experience presenting seminars and sales proposals to customers is a plus
Scope of work Responsible for sales in assigned Area
Freedom to Act
A decision maker in delegated field, while frequent debriefing, feedbacks and discussions with line manager, North is essential.
