As a Product Technology Engineer, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Division and
Turbocharging Business Units (BU) based in Chongqing. ABB is the World leader in Industrial
Automation (IA) division delivers integrated solutions for control, plant optimization, and
industry-specific application knowledge and services to help process industry customers worldwide to meet their critical business needs in the areas of operational profitability, capital productivity, risk management and global responsibility. These industries include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals, cement, minerals, marine and turbocharging.

As a Product Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for Product technology support for R&D, manufacturing, assembly and testing.

Your Tasks as a Product Technology Engineer will include the following:

？ Technical support in developing phase: For new developing part in during evaluating phase. (BTA) Purchasing technology analysis for new developing part. Clarification for relative drawing, specification and standardization. Beginning of production for new developing part. Documentation collection, evaluation, conversion and translation for part localization. Clarify with CHTUS for drawing, specification and standardization during sample phase. Create raw drawing according to finish part drawing, also responds drawing’s proof and approval. (MP，DCR) Initiate engineering changes (Material replacement proposal, Design change request) to suitable local production according to material, dimensional tolerances, part identification and other technical requirements.
？ Technic support for products manufacture: Responds for Turbocharger basic knowledge training and parts function training. Participate definition for FAI (First Article Inspection). Create TC Fix BoM and material master data as required. Sample review. Evaluate and release samples or small batch parts. Responds judgment for part’s quality defects. (DAR) Deviation evaluation for local procured parts. Decision making for Quality Notification. Evaluation for part’s specification modification. Checking and judgment for returned test part.
？ Technic support for assembly: Analyze and solve part’s technic issue during assembly. Design and review assembly fixture. (FMEA) Participate risk evaluation for Turbocharger assembly. Create relative specification for internal usage.
？ Technic support for testing: Judgment of performance parameter deviation. Problem analysis for disassembly. Technic analysis for Turbocharger accident. Regular updating for Turbocharger test parameters. Technic support for type test. Assist to renovate test rig.
？ Other supports: Design and approval for Turbocharger package. (RFT) Create and submit RFT (Request for tolerance) for exporting parts. Create section drawing for sample raw inspection. Judgment for Part defect level. Complete other tasks arranged by the product's technical Supervisor or technical manager.

1. Ideally you will have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in Engine or related field coupled with at least three years of experience on turbocharger product technic and mechanical manufacturing.
2. You should be familiar with the production process, mechanical machining. Understand the turbocharger’s structure and working principle.
3. Proficiency in software such as CATIA, familiar with SMARTEAM's operational processes.
4. Good writing and communication skills in both English and Chinese.
5. Good computer skills (MS Office, email, Internet), familiar with SAP or ERP systems.
