Responsibilities

• Manage and review all clinical content to ensure clinical accuracy, readability, and relevance, including editing, fact checking against publically available material and proofreading, subject matter types include CSRs, Protocols, and IBs.
• Ensure correct spelling, grammatical accuracy, adherence to client-approved style, and consistency across brand deliverables
• Demonstrate expertise regarding relevant FDA regulations
• Maintain the integrity, clarity, and accuracy of documents by ensuring the content and format of documents meets expected standards. Will perform rigorous quality control of linguist deliverables.
• Generates and promptly updates style guide for assigned accounts for the relevant language market
• Establish criteria for quality reviews
• Provide timely and consistent feedback to the Project Manager Work as a designated external reviewer, with the potential to be employed as a full time internal reviewer and grow a team
• Take editorial ownership of brands with minimal guidance
• Uses technologic tools to replace manual proofreading as appropriate

Requirements

• Native Chinese language ability (Simplified Chinese)
• MD or Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years proofreading or editorial experience, medical affairs/pharma or scientific experience highly desirable
• Familiarity working with local/overseas health authorities and ethics committees and additional qualifications in medical writing (AMWA; EMWA; RAC) are advantageous
• Excellent grammar, communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency required in MS Word, Power Point, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong attention to detail is imperative
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly to meet deadlines
• Can take direction but also work independently
• Ability to translate between English and Simplified Chinese is preferred
