Position Summary
Plan, direct, and monitor all supply and logistics activities to ensure a cost-effective flow of merchandise from suppliers to customers. Manage day-to-day supply and logistics activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain. Develop and implement schedules and procedures. Liaise with functional and operational area managers (e.g., in customer service, sales and production planning) to ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the business. Select and manage ongoing relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to minimize costs and ensure satisfactory standards of service. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop staff to ensure resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Create and implement strategies required to drive the strategic sourcing of direct and indirect material and supplies, while ensuring optimum quality at the lowest price to be delivered on time.
2. Analysis of the procurement market and determine the potentials for cost saving, analysis of market investigation and give the strategic opinions.
3. Develop ideas and lead projects to improve working capital (planning, inventory, payment terms, service) and other supply chain initiatives across all business units.
4. Manage and evaluate vender performance and follow-up their improvements in a systematic approach.
5. Provide cost savings recommendations and ensure spend is within budget, lead or assist with supply chain projects and initiatives as required.
6. Drive successful project implementation, follow up part validation and ensure flawless launch for NPD project.
7. Perform spend data and analytics; manage supply risk with mitigation plans; effectively tracking and reporting supply chain initiatives results.
8. Must demonstrate commitment to safety and continuous improvement, registered standards, company policy, integrity, ethics and legal compliance.
9. Develop systems, processes and tools, and provide trainings to site teams if necessary.
10. Support global sourcing team as required.
11. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Bachelor degree in Engineering or related majors, master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum 7 years’ experience in mechanical manufacturing company, and at least 3 years’ experience in supply chain management role.
3. Good business negotiation and cost analysis skills
4. Rich experience on manufacturing operations and project management.
5. Good communication skills in oral and written English;
6. Independent, active, self-motivated;
7. Team work is the prerequisite.
