Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

1.Lead the execution of feasibility study, design, analysis and risk assessment of assigned products/projects.
2.Recommend technical approaches to meet products/projects requirement, especially for non-standard products/projects.
3.Develop proper action plans to the issue/problem encountered during design, manufacture, installation, renovation, maintenance.
4.Provide technical coaching to other engineers and project team members as mentor.
5.Responsible for standardization of technical documentation (ie. 2D/3D drawing) by following engineering principle.
6.Co-work with cross-functional team (Sales, Application, Supplier/Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance etc)
7.Participate technical and program reviews (ie. Concept Design, Tollgate, TOW) as a presenter or reviewer.
8.Partner with Sourcing to find out/qualify potential/alternative supplier and test/verify/validate first product per GE process.

Qualifications/Requirements

1.BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
2.At least 5 years work experience in mechanical design domain, in R&D or engineering org. is preferred.
3.Very familiar with manufacturing process ie. casting, modeling, machining, stamping, assembly, sheet metal etc.

4.Knowledgable of regulation, standard or directive , ie. ISO, GB, ATEX, ASME etc.
5.Master Auto CAD, Solidworks tool.
6.Strong communication skill, experienced in working with cross-functional team and virtual team.
7.Good English skill, both written and oral, able to communicate with global counterpart smoothly.
8.Good technical problem solving skills.
9.Good project management skills.

Desired Characteristics

1.Working in any of special equipment industry, pressure vessel, pressure pipeline, control valve, blower, compressor etc.
2.Engaged in 3rd party certification or Manufacturing license application.
3.Working in multinational company.
