The Group’s Regional Tax Centers worldwide work in dynamic environments and value add through a centralized tax function that deliver business partnering services to local business units, ensuring optimization of tax compliance obligations and establishing a coordinated response to tax authority enquiries. Increased regional responsibilities now mean that the responsibilities of the China Tax Centre have been increased in line with the Group’s ambition to transform into the Global Integrator of Container Logistics. Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business units and project teams on tax matters across the Greater China Cluster and North Asia region (“the Cluster”)
• Coordinate transfer pricing issue and documentation in the Cluster; support APA negotiation with tax authority

• Support M&A projects in the Cluster
• Implement indirect tax risk control in China and provide advisory services
• Prepare response to tax authorities’ queries and/or support tax audits as they arise in the Cluster
• Support cluster & regional Head of Tax in high profile assignments
• Work closely with other tax function colleagues across Asia Pacific region and in European headquarter locations
• Keep abreast with developments in tax legislation in the Cluster
• Provide tax training to business units

Who we are looking for/Requirements

• Bachelor degree with major in tax, economics, accounting or finance. Master degree is a plus.
• 6-8 years relevant experience with minimum 2 years in management position; Experience in Big 4 accounting firms and consulting companies is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge and experience in Chinese tax law especially VAT; CTA/CPA will be added advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Independent, organized and self-starter individual
