Job Description:

1. To conduct legal research and provide legal advice on various legal subject matters involved in the daily operations of the business;

2. To conduct and coordinate legal due diligence (especially in the areas of real estate and value-added telecom) in financing, M&A and other investment projects;

3. To draft and review commercial agreements (such as services agreements, real estate leasing agreements, procurement agreements, share purchase agreements, joint venture contracts, Letters of Intent and NDAs) in both English and Chinese and participate in meetings with internal and external parties;

4. To handle daily corporate governance matters such as the establishment of WFOEs and maintenance of corporate documents;

5. To liaise and coordinate with external law firms.

Requirements:

1. An LLB degree or above from a reputable university, an LLM degree from a common law jurisdiction highly preferred;

2. Qualified to practice law in China and qualification in a common law jurisdiction a strong plus;

3. At least 2 years of experience in a multinational corporation or a leading international/domestic law firm; exceptional candidates without working experience may be considered; in-house experience not required;

4. Experience in real estate and/or value-added telecom business a strong plus;

5. Native Chinese speaker with fluent spoken and written English and excellent command of MS Office software application (e.g., Word, Excel and Powerpoint);

6. Hardworking, proactive and detail- and solution-oriented with a “can do” attitude;

7. Mature, pragmatic, self-motivated, able to multiple-task and work independently and under pressure;

8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, high integrity, business acumen and a team player.
