Software/System Architect

Position Description

This position will be responsible for designing the software and system architecture for Huaxintong’s ARMv8 based processor targeting data center server market. The architect will work in Huaxintong Software & System Group in Beijing.

Location

Beijing/Shanghai

Responsibilities

- Design the software and system architecture for HXT ARMv8 based processor and platforms. Focus on the key areas research and development of both silicon enablement and enhancement: SoC software/hardware co-design, Linux and upstream, software ecosystem, networking and storage, core/SoC/system performance optimization, big data and cloud computing.

- Work closely with HXT IC design team for CPU core and key IPs software/hardware co-design. Focus on the process to implement the key technology by working with Firmware/OS development team and software application/solution team.

- Pre-study and pre-development key technologies on CPU architecture, software architecture, server development, high performance computing, artificial intelligence, etc.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

- Minimum of 6-10 years of software development experience using Linux or UNIX operating systems

- Strong knowledge in system programming, Linux kernel, device driver and toolchain.

- Strong program skills in C/C++ and assembly language. Familiar with Git/Gerrit source code management tool.

- Strong knowledge in system architecture design and programming. Familiar with at least two of the following processors architecture: ARMv8, ARMv7, PowerPC, MIPS or x86. Must have multi-core knowledge.

- Familiar with opensource process. Experience on working with U-Boot, UEFI, kernel.org or Linaro communities.

- Rich Experience on developing enterprise software for server or network devices at least one of the following areas: Data Center, Networking, Storage, access devices cloud computing. Prefer to having artificial intelligence knowledge.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good teamwork adaptability, good oral and written English skills, self-motivated.

Education Requirement:

- M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree from China top universities with major on Computer Science, EE or Automation etc.
