Responsibilities:
Control and improve the quality of English contents produced by PR Newswire China’s global communications team.
Develop content strategies for clients. Write engaging stories and/or create multimedia assets to help clients achieve their buiness objectives.
Along with PR Newswire’s audience development team, regularly engage with journalists and influencers to establish and maintain good relations.
Pitch client content to key international media outlets to maximize editorial pickup and amplify across channels.
Coordinate and work across multiple departments for project execution (including Sales, Marketing, Editorial, Multimedia, and Audience Development teams) and regions based on client communication requirements.
Actively deepen client relationships to improve customer retention and engagement.
Qualifications:
Native English speaker.
Undergraduate degree or above in communications, journalism or marketing.
Minimum 1 year experience in Public Relations (PR agency or in-house), Corporate Communications, or Media.
Extensive content creation and writing experience. Journalism experience a plus.
Knowledge of the media landscape, established local media and influencer network a plus.
Self-driven and customer focused.
Command of Chinese speaking or writing is a plus.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
·Format client press releases, proofread documents or edit translations with speed and accuracy;
·Offer professional suggestions to customers on how to improve their press releases
·Write professional English releases for customers.
·Ensure that all clients are handled to the highest customer service standards;
·Ensure that the team's routine workflow runs smoothly and that tasks are managed properly;
·Working in a technical environment - Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the operations department's distribution platforms and processes;
·Maintain seamless collaboration with colleagues in other functions such as sales, client services, finance, etc., and provide help as needed;
Provide regular (daily, weekly) feedback of operations activities to Supervisor.
Requirements
High proficiency in English press release writing is a must;
Fluency in spoken English and proficiency in conversational Mandarin is required;
Possess an excellent phone manner – in English and Mandarin.
Hold BA degree in related field (English, Communications, etc.), with a minimum three years of related work experience and one year of management experience;
Possess solid judgment and initiative;
Solid computer skills – Windows and Microsoft Office;
High level of self-motivation, energy and accountability;
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills;
Strong ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure;
Have an understanding of Multimedia, SEO and content creation, including knowledge on press release development, blogging, social media and effective presentations; and
Feel comfortable speaking in public and interacting with clients and other stakeholders;.
