Role & Responsibility

Responsibility for planning day-to-day vessel operations for a selection of services. Drives improved operational efficiency in order to achieve the lowest costs and excellent service delivery to customers.

Assist Marine Manager of covering the tasks under the auspices of the strings delegated to FEA in most optimal and economical way, within Cluster geography.

Provide relevant internal and external parties with sounds advice enabling decisions to be made on solid operational grounds.

Ensure company procedures and guidelines are effectively communicated and implemented by your team members.

Essential job tasks

- Be responsibile for reviewing and verifying pro forma schedules for sign off and eliminating inefficiencies and impracticalities in same.- Participates in the Network Change process by discussing and securing berthing windows for all ports within scope.

- Drives decisions of vessel phase in/out plan to optimize schedule and achieve the targets of schedule reliability, bunker savings and E2E service delivery in a balanced way.

- Drives contingencies planning among internal stakeholders and VSA partners to protect schedule integrity and network stability.

- Liaises with Berth Planning to ensure the most optimal berthing line-up for Maersk Line concerned vessels.

- Monitors vessel performance/ability to comply with schedules.

- Attends queries from vessels regarding schedules/performance

- Updates vessel schedules in GSIS, sends vessel schedules to vessels and coordinates with all stakeholders for timely dispatch.

- Conducts post mortem reviews of vessel calls to assess and address areas of improvement.

- Proactively reviews and constructively challenges bunker consumption of vessels ensuring lowest possible consumption.

- Coordinates vessel delivery/re-delivery formalities for phasing in/out operation.- Supports Crisis and Incident Management Team in related incidents/crisis.

- Ensures cross-LOC collaboration for jointly operated services, including but not limited to schedule recovery efforts and vessel contingencies.

- Maintains details in systems for day-to-day vessel performance.

- Works closely with internal stakeholders to achieve E2E service delivery target.

- Works closely with partners to monitor vessel schedule and contingencies in VSA strings.

- Identify, initiate, supports and participate process improvement initiatives.
