Position Overview: Communicate to supplier their quality performance and trends, and initiate corrective/ preventative actions. Deal with non-conformances of incoming goods, generate SCAR to suppliers, and follow up and close corrective actions. Provide support and direction in the implementation and administration of quality systems, analyze the effectiveness of the quality system and coordinate quality related issues with suppliers.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop quality plans for new, existing or revised materials and products to ensure quality in accordance with Farris requirements.
• Perform first article verification, inspection and testing.
• Communicate with suppliers and analyze their quality performance, trends and initiate corrective/ preventative actions accordingly.
• Perform internal product, process and procedure audits to assure compliance to specified quality requirements and assist in the planning and coordination of audit activities, schedules and reports.
• Support receiving inspection activities and/or personnel to ensure product quality.

· Assist in the review and disposition of non-conforming material, including dispositions or rework, scrap and return to supplier.

• Identify cause(s) of defect conditions and/or test failures for nonconformance determinations and prepares appropriate documentation.
• Participate in evaluation and selection of supplier materials, processes and parts. Perform supplier annual auditing.
• Perform other Quality Engineering related duties or functions as assigned.

Education Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Material, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

· 4-5 years’ experience as a quality engineer in an industrial manufacturing environment.

· Good Command of oral and written English.

Other Skills/Abilities:

• Must be knowledgeable and experienced in ISO 9001:2015 quality system requirements. Knowledge of ASME code and PED requirements preferred.
• Ability to create results through customer responsiveness and continuous process improvement. Lean/Six Sigma working knowledge and practical experience preferred.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
• Ability to perform with minimum supervision and work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Manufacturing experience and good knowledge with casting, forging and machining preferred.
• Ability to perform detailed review of documentation/certification to requirements
• Ability to apply visual inspection techniques
• Gage calibration knowledge and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints
• GD&T knowledge and applications
• Proficient with Microsoft suite, familiar with ERP.
