The Group:

Morningstar’s Research group provides independent analysis on individual securities, funds, markets, and portfolios. The Research group also provides data on hundreds of thousands of investment offerings, including stocks, mutual funds, and similar vehicles, along with real-time global market data on millions of equities, indexes, futures, options, commodities, and precious metals, in addition to foreign exchange and Treasury markets. The Role:

Data Content Research Team is looking for a highly motivated individual to work as fixed income business analyst. You will be responsible for triaging client support issues, executing on project definition, organizing and documenting requirements, and collaborating with Methodology, Technology, Portfolio Data, and Reference Data to ensure successful outcomes. In this role you will work with a team of investment instrument and data experts providing research and development expertise on analytics relating to fixed income securities and their derivatives. The work will support Morningstar’s continued efforts to innovate and provide reliable information and portfolio-based analytics to investors. This position is based in our Shenzhen office.

Responsibilities:

？ Gather, review and analyze business requirements

？ Translate them into detailed written specifications and user stories, define acceptance criteria, and develop test cases & scenarios

？ Assists in the development, proto-typing and implementation process for both new and existing methodologies

？ Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure any new functionality meets or exceeds client expectations

？ Conduct change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes

？ Represents Data for any production issues

？ Coordinates with relevant teams to ensure full documentation (SOPs, quality metrics, definitions) is in place

Requirements:

？ At least one to three years of relevant work experience (product support, data analyst, software QA, etc.)

？ Very strong analytical and mathematical skills

？ Willingness to collaborate with global teams during off-hours

？ Demonstrated interest in fixed income

？ Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills

？ Experience with SQL, basic programming, and database skills is preferred

？ Knowledge of Morningstar’s data and services is preferred

？ Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, computer science, or related field; advanced degree or CFA a plus
