Do you have a passion for beauty products and love to work with product development? Then we are looking for you to join our Production team in Shanghai. As H&M is growing so we need a new colleague who together with the rest of the team will focus on the Production for Makeup/Body/Accessories products. The team today consists of different competencies such as Trend developer, Developer, Production merchandiser, Quality assurance, Sourcing responsible and we are now looking for an experienced Merchandiser.

We are looking for a person who has the competencies to

Take full responsibility from the time the order is received from Developer until the order has been shipped

Analyse the order from the Buying office and make sure that everything is clear, and if not, go back to Buying Office and ask for clarifications

Follow up the order by using Order Follow up System, use deadlines as a help to keep track of order status

If an order is confirmed, check that all the details are correct and correspond to what has been agreed and sent out to the supplier

Send clear and accurate information to the Buying Office & suppliers at an early stage for clear understanding

Keep track of suppliers production plan to ensure on-time delivery

Conduct risk assessment together with Quality assurance team in the pre order stage

Keep the Senior merchandiser updated on the general order situation

In order to be able to take full responsibility for order follow up it is a must to have close cooperation with the other teams such as Product developer, quality teams and Sourcing responsible

Share knowledge and problems with the rest of the teams to improve and learn from our mistakes

Create a good dialogue with buyers in the buying office

Have good knowledge of H&M’s suppliers concerning price, quality, capacity and lead time

You will be reporting to the Senior Merchandiser

Internal stakeholders will be Supply Chain organization including Trend developer, Production Merchandisers, Capacity Assurance team, Quality Assurance team, Business Controller and Buying Office

External stakeholders will be Suppliers

Education and Experience requirements

Professional education in Purchasing, Merchandising or a related Business Administration discipline

Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience in relevant role

Comprehensive understanding of cosmetics trends

Few years overseas will be appreciated

Knowledge and Skills requirements

Relevant product knowledge in Beauty field is not compulsory but can be a plus

General knowledge of export trade and documentation requirements

Excellent written and spoken in English

Advanced knowledge in Excel

Strong attention to detail

Strong communication and organizational skills
