MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages direct reports.
Recommend and implement more efficient production methods, processes, tooling and manpower usage techniques as required to meet or exceed goals.
Ensure safe working conditions and practices are maintained.
Supervise necessary records and controls to assure accurate inventories of materials, parts and finished goods. .
Execute other duties as assigned.
Develops and is responsible for participation and execution of strategic plan and operational plan for manufacturing and distribution
Responsible for logistics and warehousing
Directs the development of operations expense budgets, cost reduction efforts, and capital equipment budgets.
Responsible for overall supervision, training, development and performance assessment of staff
Oversees operations budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements
Ensures compliance with local and legal regulations
Directs implementation and execution of manufacturing and quality policies and practices
Operational excellence ambassador
Ensures that service issues are monitored and addressed.
Drive efficiencies through the purchasing department
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
10+ years operations/manufacturing engineering experience
7+ years management experience in a manufacturing/Distribution environment
Business acumen
Strong leadership and conflict management skills
Superior teamwork & communications skills
Strong and persistent drive to deliver positive results.
Planning & organization skills
Initiative & follow-up
Strong judgment and problem solving abilities
Negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
