Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Discipline Engineering group provides support to Shell China EP Production Assets to safeguard and improve the technical integrity and reliability. Key success factors are the completion of the Asset "Fix" program,and embedding the elements needed to sustain and improve performance.

Key roles and responsibilities:
* Custodian of the Corrosion Management System.
* Set up and manage contracts to deliver the required corrosion management and inspection services.
* Material,Corrosion and Inspection in Maintenance Engineering and integrity planning assurance to ensure piping and vessel integrity is managed.
* Responsible to the management for Corrosion Barriers to protect the technical integrity barriers and the safety Critical Elements (SCEs.
* Technical Authority (TA level 3/ 2) for Shell China EP.
* Coaching of less experienced staff in the area of Material,Corrosion and Inspection.
* Initiation and influencing of technology development on inspection.
* Development of ME standards,Inspection and Maintenance Practices,and application of risk based evaluation methodology.
* Provide functional support and Materials,Corrosion and Inspection Engineering expertise to business partners.
* Provide Materials,Corrosion and Inspection discipline engineering and Technical Authority (TA) support to Asset Operations and Maintenance Teams.
* Manage and protect the SCE barriers including Performance Standards,Healthchecks,and Status reporting; support MIE.
* Deliver discipline requirements to the Asset Maintenance Reference plans.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintenance of statutory Certificate of Fitness for Vessels in the operation phase
* Update and implement (through SAP) Inspection and Maintenance Practices to optimise the Maintenance program carried out by the Asset Maintenance teams.
* Develop and maintain customer interfaces within SCEPCo,and with partners and external stakeholders such as CNPC and Government Authorities.

Requirements:
* Degree in Metallurgy, Materials, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related degrees.
* Minimum of 7 years relevant working experience within the technical functions in E&P environment.

Alternatively:
* HND in Metallurgy, Materials, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Plant Engineering or equivalent
* Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience within the technical functions in E&P environment.
* Recognised as an MCI specialist, with experience of working in multidiscipline teams.
* Familiar with industry design codes and inspection standards and techniques, having kept abreast of recent develpments in corrosion control and non-destructive inspection technology.
* Have experience of managing inspection programmes for static equipment and applying Risk based techniques.
*Also experience in pipeline corrosion management and inspection preferred.
* A good technical communicator, able to liaise with Operations teams and Engineering teams in all MCI matters, both in the design and maintenance of static equipment, tanks and vessels.
