Job Responsibilities
? To carry out machinery related plan approval in connection with approval of both new construction and conversions. Further to assist clients in the design and construction phase and to deal with issues.
? Support local offices and witness Type Tests where appropriate.
? To build and maintain a good relationship with our clients and internal stakeholders;
? Provide technical advice to internal and external clients.
? To discuss and present the deliverable with the internal / external client and be able to suggest solutions where appropriate.
Job Requirements
? Bachelor or Master degree in Maritime Engineering or equivalent.
? Good communication skills.
? Fluent in English, both oral and in writing.
? Chartered/Professional qualification and a member of a relevant professional institution;
? Over 5 years of experience with machinery calculations from Yard, class, ship owner, consultant etc.
? Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, to prioritise work and meet LR and Clients’ deadlines, and to work effectively under pressure.
? Proficiency in the English Language commensurate with the work and to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills
