Responsibilities

Provide overall administrative planning, direction and policies for the Operations Department. Working closely with Sr. Leadership team, providing solutions while assuring the highest quality service by supporting Events Department and Commercial Department. Ensure an effective and cost-efficient program by developing and controlling the operating budget; and perform related responsibilities as required. Coordinate all elements of facility operation as it pertains to the campus, arena, theater, and retail areas. Direct the operation of personnel, payroll, billing, insurance, accounting, budget, data processing and purchasing. Plan and direct the operation and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, HVAC, custodial, grounds, event set-up and changeovers, facilities safety. Oversee the planning and recommendations for the annual and future capital improvement budgeting and asset management for all venue equipment maintenance, repair and replacement requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college or university;
Ten years of responsible experience in busy multipurpose arena which included events, concerts, sports, trade shows and banquets.
Must have working knowledge of ice plant, HVAC systems, MEP systems, and all major automated facility systems.
Extensive experience with personnel and departmental HR management, including training, coaching, mentoring and disciplinary actions.
Able to communicate well with others on a supervisory level and in a general work situation.
Able to work under high pressure in meeting urgent deadlines in spite of adverse consequences.
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with users, employees and the general public and to conduct meetings as required.
Able to anticipate problems and implement immediate corrective action.
Able to work long, irregular hours as dictated by programming.
Command personnel management, equal employment issues, purchasing practices, public relations; oral and written communications.
Have the knowledge and experience of other facility operations including drayage, decorators, maintenance, housekeeping, trades, audio-visual, electrical, food service, marketing, equipment, etc.
Have knowledge and experience with venue/facility capital improvement planning and asset management repair and maintenance programs.
Have knowledge and experience implementing facility sustainability and green venue best practices.
Able to read, listen, write and communicate effectively in both Chinese and English.
3 Responsibilities

Ensure an effective, cost-efficient operation by helping to prepare and administer annual Operations maintenance, repair and capital replacement budgets.
Attend meetings to keep informed of current Operations related financial spending and planning,
Prepare monthly progress reports to management and an annual summary of complete Operations department maintenance, repair, and replacement requirements.
Prepare all invoices for services rendered to be used in event settlement and retail areas.
Design and maintain all financial policies and procedures related to Operations Department.
Inspect the work of subordinates to ensure timeliness and completion.
Plan, schedule and supervise appropriate levels of personnel in all areas of responsibility.
Develop short and long term maintenance, maintenance, repair and replacement equipment plan.
Work in conjunction with General Manager’s Office related to purchase and replacement of capital equipment.
Provide weekly schedule and report of activities undertaken by Operation Department
Protect corporate interests and integrity while maximizing corporate revenues and act as a consultant to marketing personnel regarding major tenants and prospects.
Coordinate activities with music club, ice rink, retail area, restaurants etc.
Schedule, coordinate and administer activities of all department heads of special areas of operation.
Plan and coordinate a variety of facility set-ups, including family shows, concerts, sports, trade shows and banquet configuration.
Personally attend or assign management personnel to be present at events.
Organize and execute training and safety programs.
Create, review and conduct performance appraisals and take appropriate disciplinary action when deemed necessary.
Provide training and professional development guidance to staff.
Responsible for the management and evaluation of the subcontractors within the responsibility range;
Perform related duties as required.

Projects management, ensure the quality and timetable and cost control;
Cost control of operation department.
Facilities safety of arena all equipment and facility, no accidence.
Supervising and managing operation matters of operation department in line with the company internal control management request;
Monitor the implementation of standard operating procedures and industry best practices within the operation teams and other teams;
Venue capital improvement planning and asset management;
