Department activities:
The Sourcer is working for the development department. The department is responsible for the development, buying and managing of all shop furniture’s. The department cooperated closely with the Project department who uses all the furniture’s.
The chosen designs and functions require specific materials and production methodes, what needs to be sourced in the market. The quality level of the materials and production processes needs to meet the demand of the company, what is an ongoing process.
Function description:
Tasks:
1. Constant sourcing of materials and suppliers for new projects, risk management (back up).
2. Weekly reporting (English) about progress and objective judgment of pro and contras of materials and suppliers by using knowledge of the market, materials and production methods.
3. Managing of own development projects after supplier has been found. development team Professional reporting of the found information on the projects. Advise the preferred choses for the company by objective judgement.
4. Report technical and cost price progress for the development projects (English).
5. Hand over full information to purchase the moment products or suppliers are approved by management.
6. Drawing management, for new and updates
7. Manage installation hand guides for new /updated products
8. Manage the buying/QC assistant
Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing of suppliers and materials
2. Weekly (English) reporting of all running projects for sourcing and development
3. Technical drawing management
4. Installation instruction guides management
5. Manage the buyer/QC assistant
Candidate Profile:
Education:
Middle or high level in technical engineering or other technical related studies.
Needs to have a career history of furniture production with steel and wood in a project orientate environment.
Experience:
Soucing of suppliers and doing QC of products for furniture’s is a must.
Personality:
1. Proofs to be professional in communication and not afraid to negotiate to get to the targets.
2. Capable to do an individual analysis based on found information
3. Is a hard worker that can separate main and sub issues.
4. Can work in a team spirit.
5. Practical personality (hands-on)
6. Honest.
7. Has a private situation that allows him/her to put much energy in the job and will be supported by family.
Skills:
1. Speaks good English
2. Has a driver’s license
3. Soft-ware knowledge:
a) Micosoft Office (Word,Excel,PP)
b) Auto CAD (is preferable)
c) Optional: Solidworks
