Newell Rubbermaid is transforming its Finance function into a shared services structure for Great China.
The stated mission of shared service and transactional excellence is to drive “world class efficiency through standardization, leveraging resources, continuous improvement and high quality service”. The initiative is specifically designed to achieve these by standardizing processes, centralizing & automating controls, increasing the speed of close and ultimately achieving increased efficiency.
The GL team lead is responsible for overall accounting activities. Including Review PL& BS report, account reconciliation and tax. Ensure all the activities compliance with corporate policy, internal control and laws.
This role should be familiar with PRC GAAP & US GAAP and tax rules and also fully understand all the accounting process. Coordinate the work and relationship between other finance teams and departments. Ensure all the transactions are well tracked and recorded.
? Establish and implement appropriate accounting controls and procedures. Ensure compliance with requirements of Sarbanes Oxley as specified by the parent company
? Execute SOX testing to monitor the implementation of the policy and process
? Enhance efficiency and effective by process and system improvement
? Monitor the month end and year end closing process, and take the lead in resolving issues.
? Review monthly management financial accounts pack that includes P&L, Expenses, Balance Sheet, and commentary on material variances.
? Review cost rollup and FA management ensure the accuracy.
? Review Account Reconciliation to ensure the accurate of all balance sheetaccounts, including bank, payroll, payroll and social taxes, inventory, clearing accounts and other accrual and pre-paid accounts, with supporting schedules and documentation.
? Manage the annual statutory audit preparation, work with audit firm and tax team to ensure the on time filing
? Cash and bank management, cash flow forecast
? Payment approval for both local and oversea payments
? Tax review, including duty claim, monthly tax claim, annual tax return and withholding tax claim.
? Apply and advise on inter-company transfer pricing policies at the local and transaction level. Involve in TP report preparation and review
? Work on tax refund ensure company benefit from policy to the largest extension
? Mentoring for GL team members and helping develop a career path.
? Other ad-hoc projects
Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related major
? 6+ years of accounting working experience
? 2+ years of management experience, share service experience is a plus
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
? Proficiency in English - written and oral
? Excel and ERP implementation experience
? Solid finance operation knowledge
