Job Title: eCommerce Merchandiser
Reports to: Merchandising Manager eCommerce

SUMMARY:
The eCommerce Merchant supports the Merchandising Manager eCommerce and executes the globally aligned merchandising vision for Crocs, the industry-leading casual footwear brand specializing in comfortable, fun, innovative and irreverent product lines designed to surprise and delight our millions of loyal Crocs fans and future Crocs fans.
The Merchandise Planner ensures the company’s key asset, inventory, is used wisely and productively to meet the goals of the channel. They understand their channel opportunities and risks and are able to translate this knowledge into intelligent and realistic monthly channel plans. They manage the Open-to-Buy to keep the channel in-stock with a regular flow of fresh inventory and receipt plans to ensure the right product in the right size is in the right store. They deliver monthly receipt plans to the pre-season plan and adjust receipt flow in-season to maximize sell-through.
Using the seasonal global assortment, the eCommerce Merchant will develop sales forecasts for all Crocs products in line with the revenue, product margin and inventory targets for the channel. They will ensure size planning is in line with local trends and will limit the risk of broken sizes through the sales forecasting process.
The eCommerce Merchant will work closely with the Merchandising Manager eCommerce on both the seasonal assortments and actions to be taken in-season to meet revenue, product margin and inventory targets.
Together with the Merchandising Manager eCommerce is responsible for the assortment and sales from product launch to clearance. They work with the Merchandising Manager eCommerce to establish right initial pricing, mark down cadence, manage and plan for promotional activity within their area of responsibility. The Merchant will have overall responsibility for product margin and drive success through management of product mix. They will be responsible for inventory and manage it in line with the inventory plan, ensuring sufficient weeks of sale at distribution center. They will ensure in-stock rates are set to optimize in season sales and will execute frequent reports with proposals for inventory management, as well as highlight any inventory risks and/or opportunities to all stakeholders.
The eCommerce Merchant will maintain consumer focus by utilizing consumer insights, conducting in-store walk-throughs and click-throughs. The Merchant will complete regular analysis of in-season performance, communication with comprehension to the cross-function channel and global teams, and play forward learning into forward forecasts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Responsible for meeting inventory targets and manages Open-to-Buy product launch to product clearance
? Support the regional objectives and a clear seasonal point of view through effective communication and well-edited product assortments
? Develop sales forecasts, pre-season and in-season, according to assortment and flow by store grades provided by the Retail Buyer, in line with revenue, product margin and inventory targets.
? Ensure top 25 options per gender contribute to 80% of sales forecast
? Works with Regional Planning teams on demand and supply balancing activities
? Communicate product launch calendar to On Site Merchandising Manager
? Gather product review feedback from online reviews and flow through to teams to play forward learnings in future assortment planning and forecasting
? Manage an efficient and streamlined allocating process and ensure supporting resources are ramped up and down based on sales requirements (D&L)
? Manage inventory based on product lifecycle to optimize clearance during clearance sales and Outlet segment
? Develop and communicate with comprehension analysis of sales trends and inventory projections with forward looking optimization to all stakeholders
? Regular store visits to gather learnings for improvement
? Approach all tasks with the consumer in mind, ensuring we continue exciting our consumers in store
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
? Self-starter who works well in a demanding, fast-paced and high performance environment
? 3+ years in merchandise planning and/or buying within a direct to consumer environment
? Innovative, flexible and creative problem-solving skills
? Understanding of market competition, consumer and market trends
? Strong organizational, analytical and process development skills
? Ability to independently utilize resources to increase knowledge
? Ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changes
