This position mainly focuses on providing leadership on new program launch stamping process.
1. Automotive seating Structure/Mechanism Stamping process developing;
2. Provide manufacturing input to support new business case quotation;
3. Support stamping part Make Vs. Buy decision making;
4. Support activities such as DFM, DFA, DFMEA etc. in product design phase;
5. Stamping tooling concept design, incl. but not limited to strip layout, die construction, press tonnage calculation etc.;
6. Develop press machine /tooling RFQ and work closely with other departments to complete equipment procurement;
7. Tooling design review and press automation design review;
8. Track and manage machine supplier to ensure machine/ tooling delivered with good quality and in time, support machine/ tooling debug and qualification in both vendor site and Lear site;
9. Take charge of machine/tooling buy off and final acceptance, support sample build per program requires;
10. Process problem solving for launch phase and support continuous improvement in plants operation.
Expected Skills:
1. Minimum 5 years working experience as tooling engineer in automotive industry, Seating is preferable;
2. Experienced in seating structure stamping process include transfer die, tandem die and progressive die;
3. Solid knowledge in stamping tooling design and manufacturing;
4. Strong experience in press machine, and machine/ tooling/ automation integration;
5. Proven experience with Quality Systems (QS9000, TS16949) and manufacturing system design;
6. Be willing to travel domestically and internationally;
7. Excellent interpersonal communicating skill, fluent English in both reading, written, oral and aural;
8. Skill of Microsoft office, Auto-cad, CATIA, UG, Minitab, Auto-form etc.;
