Department activities:
The Sourcer is working for the development department who is responsible to find the right suppliers and new materials for the products. Development department manages the total process for the development of the furniture’s and related materials.
The chosen designs and functions require specific materials and production ways, what needs to be sourced in the market. The quality level of the materials and production processes needs to meet the demand of the company, what is an ongoing process.
Function description:
Tasks:
1. Make a sourcing plan to find specific suppliers or materials.
2. Make a schedule for the running sourcing projects
3. Do the direct communication to find the producers or materials in the market
4. Professional reporting of the found information on the projects. Advise the preferred choses for the company by objective judgement.
5. Negotiate samples and first price indications
6. Hand over full information to purchase the moment products or suppliers are approved by management.
Responsibilities:
1. Make and maintain the sourcing schedule
2. Follow the schedule of the sourcing
3. Make us of all available resources and make smart decisions in your way of sourcing, to be successful in the given time
4. Professional report of the source results to the manager.
Candidate Profile:
Education:
Middle or high level in technical engineering or other technical related studies.
Needs to have a career history of furniture production with steel and wood in a project orientate environment.
Personality:
1. Proofs to be professional in communication and not afraid to negotiate to get to the targets.
2. Capable to do an individual analysis based on found information
3. Is a hard worker that can separate main and sub issues.
4. Can work in a team spirit.
5. Practical personality (hands-on)
6. Honest.
