Sourcing Engineer

Summary:
The Sourcing engineer is the owner of Katerra customized products specification from Products Attributes Definition stage through supply execution stage. Sourcing Engineer will co-work with internal customer including Sales & Marketing, Sourcing, Design and Catalog manager to provide a professional Katerra specification, and be accountable for maintaining the accuracy and correctness of the specification documents. Performance metrics for this role include number of cuts sheets, customer claims of specifications accuracy and correctness, on-time delivery of specification files for onboarding new products, and collaboration with sourcing function in cost reduction activity.
Responsibilities:
? Owner of Products Attributes definition , and work with Catalogue manager cross different categories to format the Products Cuts Sheet cross different categories and products with good details level to convince customers on buying.
? Owner of Products Cuts Sheet, actively work with Sales and Marketing team for understanding customer needs and output a satisfactory products Cuts Sheet meeting Sales & Marketing’s expectation.
? Co-Owner of products specification of Katerra customized products. Work effectively with a cross-functional team including Sourcing, Catalog, Design, Testing, Quality, Demand& Planning and the supplier to complete the products specifications.
? Coach supplier on Katerra standard requirement of products specification.
? Work with Category manager and quality manager to make sure on time delivery of products specifications and product go to market.
? Own the Katerra Specification accuracy and effectiveness through the whole product life management.

Qualifications
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both English and Mandarin. Take initiative in communication and deliver results.
· Must be passionate about maintaining data accuracy.
· Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline required.
· Experienced working with people of different abilities and skill levels to achieve results.
· Must have the flexibility to work long and unpredictable hours. Work hours may include a non-standard workweek, and frequent conference calls in the evening or early morning.
· Minimum 8 years’ experience with 2 years in a manufacturing and quality environment
Advanced qualifications
· Relevant product domain knowledge preferred.
· Solid experience with various products development software like AutoCad , ProE etc..
· Lead Auditor certification by third party
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Self-discipline, self-starter, ability to work in cross-functional & global team environment. Strong skills with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, in addition to other cloud and computer based tools. Experience with SAP and PDM systems is preferred.
