This is a contractor role.
Amazon China is looking for a talented and bright financial leader to be the Finance Analyst – Marketing. This role will support Amazon’s fast-paced marketing team business growth. The team serves a vital role in driving the traffic to Amazon site and providing best in class shopping experience to customer.
This role, reporting to Finance Manager – Marketing, will lead the traffic rolling forecast process (e.g. Annual Planning process, monthly Risk and Opportunities, Monthly & Quarterly Business reviews) as well as ensuring sound analysis / controllership to control and reduce marketing expense as measured by improved E%O.
This position will partner closely with the marketing team and retail business teams, Seattle Worldwide traffic channel / finance team.
The right individual will have solid business judgment, strong controllership focus, and the capability to drive a fast paced organization to the right results with a focused and pragmatic approach to the business.
The specific responsiblities include:
· Lead annual planning process, including providing guidance to marketing team, provide summary reporting and key call-outs, and own relationship with Worldwide traffic finance team in Seattle.
· Communicate and present monthly and quarterly financial performance to China Leadership Team and Seattle Traffic Finance Team, including key call-outs and variance analysis.
· Lead monthly Risks & Opportunities process, working with marketing team to update rolling forecasts and explain changes.
· Provide financial analysis to various marketing initiative.
Basic Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a commercially oriented senior finance analyst with 5+ years of financial planning & analysis experience. This individual will have great attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to thrive in this fast-paced, dynamic environment. He / she will be very hands-on and able to work with all organizational levels across a variety of functions.
Specifically:
1. Finance, accounting or business degree required
2. A strong background of financial planning and analysis in a complex business.
3. Advanced Excel skills and SQL skill are required.
4. Fluent in English and Chinese
Preferred Qualifications:
· Exhibits sound business judgment
· Quantitative analysis and problem-solving ability
· Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
· Have relentlessly high standards
· Drives for results
· Ability to drive cross team and functional activities?
