JOB PURPOSE:
§ Responsible for creation and maintaining Material Master Data, BOM, and Engineering Change Notice in CBS in a timely and efficient manner.
§ To coordinate the implementation of engineering changes & releases, as a liaison between Supply Chain (including Orders scheduling, procurement, import/export), Global Purchasing, Engineering, Assembly Planning and Assembly Operations.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
§ This is a multiple incumbent position working within a cell environment, and is expected to function as a specialist with respect to the provision, co-ordination and implementation of Engineering changes and Releasing by using the various engineering, manufacturing & materials supply systems (procedures), and controlling the effective dates.
§ Review engineering packages for completeness and correctness. Analyzes engineering changes or drawing notices to determine the impact on the assigned product, and to the various Manufacturing and Purchasing areas.
§ Investigate date to be set on releases or engineering changes
§ Incumbent will use HVC to obtain current relevant data / information
§ Incumbent co-ordinates the creation and maintains Material Master Data, and Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) to CBS system and ensures the accuracy of data in the system. Incumbent also works with Fabrication Planning and Assembly Planning personnel for accuracy of component / part line location for the assembly process.
§ Incumbent establishes & maintains close working relationships with personnel in Supply Chain (including Orders scheduling, procurement, import/export), Global Purchasing, Engineering, Assembly Planning and Assembly Operations, to ensure promise dates of material and data information are met and suggests process improvements necessary to meet production dates.
§ Facilitate Engineering Change and Releasing meetings; Assists in leading team to resolution of problems and issues; Assists in setting work priorities to effectively accomplish tasks; Work is discussed and reviewed while it is being done, and upon completion.
Required Qualifications:
§ Incumbent requires knowledge and 1~3 years of experience of various Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing systems, and Planning methodology.
§ Prefer to have an understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
§ Prefer to have experience or training in the relevant MRP systems like SAP/CBS.
§ Effective oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
§ Excellent problem solving and people skills.
§ A degree in Engineering or a related discipline is considered an essential requirement for this position.
