China Desk Corporate Banker- Banker with Chinese language proficiency to be based out of JP Morgan Mumbai branch Key focus area for the banker would be to do a prospecting and relationship management role for subsidiaries of Chinese headquartered clients operating in India for their overall corporate banking requirements. As part of this role banker would need to co-ordinate closely with JP Morgan China corporate banking team(headquarter bankers) and local JP Morgan corporate banking/roduct coverage partners in India.
 
Main Responsibilities:
? Banker (CB) will partner with various stakeholders in the firm (parent corporate banker and product partners across LOBs) to maximize the firm-wide revenue potential at acceptable returns across targeted clients and prospects.
? Focus will be on the CFO, Treasurer and operating teams for Multinational client subsidiaries for various corporate banking products and services across treasury solutions and cash management, working capital, FX and rates, asset management, trade finance and capital markets
? Role envisages building relationships and engagement with the Chinese decision makers in client organizations and building client comfort on JP Morgan value proposition and capabilities.
? Other key job deliverables would include connecting the dots between Indian and Chinese markets and keeping track of major trends like investment and trade flows from China inorganic client activity and related opportunities and industry/sector specific themes and developments. As part of this item banker would be the focal point for driving JP Morgan engagement with Chinese industry and business bodies operating in India and develop a working relationship with these forums to drive business opportunities
? Drive increased penetration of client wallet and forge a closer relationship with our clients Evaluate client's main issues/needs and outline opportunities for JPMorgan
? Partner with Client Credit Management for credit related needs and insure that Balance Sheet Committee requests are appropriate
Client Mix:
? Client portfolio will comprise of MNC clients across a variety of verticals like consumer products, TMT, auto, energy, chemicals, business services and diversified industrials. Clients will be Chinese companies with large international presence outside their home country.
? Focus will be to develop multi-product relationships across the entire gamut of wholesale banking services comprising treasury & security services, credit and rates, working capital solutions, debt markets, asset management and investment banking.
? Clients will be based out of all the major centres in India i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune and Chennai. Role will require the banker to travel within India across these centers and also take up periodic travel to China(Korea) to cover HQ decision makers

? FX, rates and Derivatives

? Core cash management, liquidity products
? Capital Markets
? Custody services
Performance Evaluation:
? Account plan/revenue budget versus execution
? Overall portfolio performance (revenue growth, saves, new business, ROE/SVA)
? Acquisition of new clients
? Call frequency and referrals
? Partnership scores with product partners and parent bankers
