Position Title: Senior Pricing Analyst
Business Unit: Pricing-Finance Department
Location: Shanghai
Reports to (Title):Pricing Manager, Consumer PBU
Purpose of the position:
1.Collect, validate, analyze and synthesize pricing information of Goodyear and major competitors regularly and accurately in a nice format (database) for Consumer PBU
2.Analyze major competitors' tactical move and intention to provide valuable business intelligence and analysis to Goodyear, based on pricing information collected
Main responsibilities:
1.Pricing intelligence establishment
2.Establish pricing intelligence function which manages pricing information collection, validation and analysis, confirming and expanding current approaches, methodologies, sources and channels. Update the the pricing database on regular basis via frequent market visit in different channels (Consumer distributors/retailers, 4S and key accounts, etc.) to ensure the database is most up to date.
3.Business implication
4.Based on all the pricing data and information, provide a complete and accurate big picture of competitive landscape to Goodyear, from which pricing/marketing/sales leadership team are able to tell competitors' tactical move or strategic intention and take proactive action to generate incremental volume and secure margin.
Requirements:
1.Bachelor degree in related business, Post graduate qualification preferred
2.Solid 1-3 years' relevant experience is a must, e.g. experience in a data/sales/pricing analytics role within a fast paced retail/FMCG/Auto parts environment, with basic modeling capabilities
3.Solid experience of pricing management or intelligence relevant work is a plus
4.Background of pricing, marketing or sales is preferred
5.Relevant experience in industry leaders (Bridgestone/Michelin/Continental/Pirelli) is a big plus
6.Effective cross-functional communication skill, especially with sales team and distributors
7.Acumen on business opportunity and risk regarding to price and promotion
8.Capable of managing multiple data sources and quickly synthesizing information with strategic thinking
9.Demonstrates high levels of energy and passion to own this new function; self-motivated
10.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
