plastic injection这个职位需要对塑胶模具的design,工艺和项目跟进都比较熟悉
metal stamping tooling engineer五金方向,要有冲压的经验,同时要懂钣金加工工艺
· Position for 2 Tooling Project Engineers – plastic injection and metal stamping tooling engineers
· Min work experiences – 6 to 8 years in related fields (tool design, tool fabrication processes and its related material)
· Preferably in the printer industry, good knowledge and experience in printer industry
· Ability to perform cost estimation on tooling and part cost
· Physical demand – must be physical fit as frequent traveling, walking and carrying of laptops or other equipments may be required(出差频率一周1-2次,地点:广东以内)

Job Summary
Using established processes and procedures, the Tooling Project Engineer is responsible for support of the Lead Tooling Project Engineer (LTPE), as assigned, for the design, fabrication and qualification of plastic injection molds and sheet metal dies by outside vendors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- The Tooling Engineer should be familiar with all aspects of a tooling shop and have a thorough understanding of the operation of all the machine tools and other tools used in the process of fabricating molds and dies. Should also have a thorough understanding of the tool making process from start to finish and have experience managing this process.
- Publish weekly tool tracking reports
- Participation in design failure modes effects analysis (DFMA)
- Development of quotation criteria
- Establishment of tool design and build timelines in collaboration with vendor to develop plans for timely execution
- Act as technical point of contact - Customer's, Jabil's and Vendor's - for tool related issues
- Review of preliminary tool designs to insure compliance with Customer and/or Jabil tooling standards, Part drawing requirements, and Manufacturing volume requirements
- Review and approval of final tool designs
- Creation of tool maintenance plan and development of spare parts proposal
- Drive progress against established timelines
- Oversee the implementation of product related engineering change orders
- Drive vendor readiness around raw material supply, secondary operations, and production jigs and fixtures
- Manage tool samples from vendor
- Evaluate first article inspection reports
- Execute tool and part approval via Jabil Production Part Approval Process (JPPAP)
- Oversee production qualification tool runs
- Work under the direction of the LTPE in order to develop quotations and schedules for development programs of tools
- Work concurrently with Jabil CAD Services, Business Unit Management, Manufacturing, Test, Purchasing, and Quality departments throughout the design phase of a program. Strive to provide a design that not only meets the customer's criteria, Jabil's manufacturability requirements, but is also of high quality, and cost effective.
- Be familiar with all aspects of molded plastic and sheet metal parts and be knowledgeable in troubleshooting mold issues and die issues
- Estimate part cost for sheet metal and injection molded parts
- Assess the suitability of a particular mold or die shop to the needs of a particular job
- Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide input and approval of designs that are competitive and cost effective
- Exercise good judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Education & Experience Requirements
- Accredited Four year Tool and Die apprenticeship program
- Plus a minimum of 5 years experience on the bench and have achieved the status of Class A journeyman
- Possess project management skills including scheduling and resource allocation forecasting
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and fundamentals of plane, and solid geometry and trigonometry Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to walk, and to lift and carry PC’s and test equipment weighing up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individual’s primary workstation is located in the office area, with some time spent each day on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in this environment ranges from low to moderate.
