JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Managing activities of the Production Department, includes ensuring that HSE guidelines are followed, overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule, and making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality, and substituting for Operations Manager in his absence.
2 Being responsible for safety and environmental management in the Production Department, managing personnel and daily work, and ensuring compliance with HSE guidelines;
3 Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule, and making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality;
4 Monitoring the plant efficiency and materials consumption, and ensuring that the production is cost effective;
5 Supervising and motivating production team, reviewing the performance of subordinates and identifying training needs;
6 Proposing improvement projects for plant performance, including yields, energy consumption, quality, waste, etc;
7 Working out the human and material resources needed, developing departmental budget and controlling costs to meet budget;
8 Liaising among different departments, e.g. Logistics, Maintenance, QA/QC and SU of multi-site;
9 Acting as key member of CSU team, and managing production team to provide support for new plant/project commissioning and start-up.
Substituting for Operations Manager in his absence.



REQUIREMENTS
1 B.S degree or above in Chemical Engineering or Technology
2 8+ years production experience in Chemical plant environment with at least 3 years supervision experience
3 Good leadership skills, proven work knowledge regarding QHSE management, production organization and planning.
4 Excellent verbal and written communication skill in both English and Chinese and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Good computer skill, knowledge regarding ERP(SAP) is an advantage
