Product Compliance Manager
Amazon Product Compliance is looking for a smart, energetic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join our team. The successful candidate shows excellent judgment and instincts in decision making and proactively and continually improves their level of knowledge about Amazon’s business, its platform, and relevant technologies. This is an exciting and challenging position that provides Product Compliance support for the Direct Imports Supply Chain team.

The position is primarily responsible for ensuring the success of the Direct Imports and building systems to verify relevant safety and regulatory attributes are met for products exporting to US. This position will build new solutions and processes, and primarily support the ongoing operations for the US Direct Imports Compliance program. This position will work closely with vendors, the Seattle based Amazon Global Product Compliance team as well as global Amazon Compliance and supply chain teams to ensure Amazon Compliance Policies are communicated and followed. We are looking for a talented Product Compliance Program Manager who has direct experience with US consumer product regulations to work cross functionally with vendor managers, transportation and other supply chain professionals within our rapidly growing and evolving business.
Key responsibilities:
? Ensure that US/EU regulatory requirements are met for products and support other functions such as Retail, Supply Chain, Transportation, Customer Service, and Legal.
? Proven ability to manage large and complicated projects
? Develop best-in-class processes and systems, and drive continual improvement.
? Drive scalable business solutions which ensure compliance with consumer product regulations
? Work cross-functionally and manage compliance training and awareness raising programs in retail, operations and sales teams
2. Basic Qualifications

? Knowledge of product compliance processes and the interplay with global supply chains
? Collaboration, Influencing, Negotiation, Determination and Resiliency
? Bachelor’s degree required with a scientific focus
? Minimum 5+ years of experience in any combination: Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance and/or Product Development
? Specific knowledge and/or experience of one or more of the following regulatory environments: Consumer product safety regulations & standards: toys, electronics; import regulations
? Must be able to think creatively and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
? Fluent (verbal and written) in Chinese Mandarin and English
? Ability to thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are driven in parallel
? Excellent business judgment and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done

3. Preferred Qualifications
? Previous experience in tech, electronics, or other fast-paced, technology driven businesses a strong plus
? Ability to work independently and autonomously
? Good problem solving skills: acts decisively, promptly and confidently. Not afraid to contradict others and proactively offering solutions
? Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer
? Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
? Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
? Strong presentation/ training delivery experience
? Key Competencies: A-Z process ownership; deals well with ambiguity, function well and able to clearly define processes in loosely structured situations; comfortable with following up actions from others
