Overview: The Pulp Procurement Manager role focuses on day to day activities of the pulp purchases at the best possible price for paper & tissue mills and ensure the pulps are within the agreed inventory level.
- Pulp purchases at the best possible price for paper mills and ensure inventory level within the agreed limits
- Understand paper mill quality requirements and preferred pulp brands
- Train and supervise the work of the team members
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes in market dynamics;
- Evaluate prospective suppliers to ensure they meet paper mills’ needs and perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- Execute procurement plan and negotiating with external suppliers to secure advantageous terms;
- Devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies
- Assess Monitor pulp inventory (mill inventory/in transit/PO backlog);
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Bachelor/Master degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
- Good understanding of market intelligence
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in English as well as Chinese is essential
