2013 Operations Management Trainee

The Management Trainee Program is open to high caliber Graduates who will become our Fulfillment Center People Leader in the future, and develop further into larger positions. The program will typically be a structured scheme, which will be operationally focused, and will enable new hires to the program to:
?Build an understanding of the full breadth of our business
?Develop a working knowledge of lean management and 6 sigma theories
?Gain an understanding of how we work, who we are and how we stay as leaders in a fast moving and ever changing environment
?Learn new skills and applies them to real life projects
?Develop their own potential through being exposed to key areas of the business
?Benefit from internal experience through on-going support
?Have a clear goal to work towards and the skill set to be able to take on a full time people leader role at the end of the development period.
Key Responsibilities:
? Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality
? Lead and develop a team of Amazon Associates
? Communicate policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the Team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed
? Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
? Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
?Coordinate shift distribution activities to obtain optimum distribution and utilization of the Associate workforce, machines, equipment and material
? Continuously improve processes and procedures
? Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards, take corrective action as necessary and document the lapses
?Revise production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems
?Create, manage and supporting recognition and communication programs that foster an environment of teamwork for associates and peers
?Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
?Liaise with Global IT team through weekly meetings and/or trouble-shooting platform to improve system behavior and/or drive system issues to closure
?Communicate, listen, influence, care people, set up trust and respects in the team
?Resolve serious complaint if necessary and enhance customer experience
Basic Qualifications:
? 2013 new graduate is required
? Authorized to work in the China
? Candidates must be able to work weekends and/or overnight shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
? Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field is a plus, however other degrees are also welcomed
? Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
? Adept at analytical work and the ability to motivate others in a deadline-driven environment
? Basic understanding of Lean and 6 Sigma (don't know but anxious to learn? We'll teach you!)
? Have strong communication skills in both Mandarin and English
? A working knowledge of MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
