Job Description
Job Title:Marketing Executive Far East
Type: Permanent (Full-time)
Location: Based in Shanghai
Reporting to: Marketing Manager
Starting: by Sept 4th 2017 or earlier if possible/available
Charles Kendall Group is a company specialising in global supply chain services from procurement and freight to packing and value added services. Our Far East operations are growing rapidly and we need Chinese-based support for our Marketing team to ensure we support our traditional supply chain services and newer Amazon FBA and Projects work.
The Marketing Executive Far East will coordinate all Far East Marketing activity. They ensure different marketing activities act together across communication channels in coordinated and targeted campaigns throughout the year. They will report direct to the Marketing Manager and areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to;
? Planning help and Budget Recording: Helping the Marketing Manager to pre-plan marketing tactics in the Far East for the year ahead. Then be responsible for keeping up-to-date records of all actual expenditure in the Budget spreadsheet.
? Brand Guardianship: Assist in management of the brand, re-brand activity as required and help enforce branding guidelines in the Far East to ensure consistent and proper usage of Group brands.
? Direct Mail: Coordinating mail and email campaigns via our Direct Mail tools. Processing all responses, bounce backs and unsubscribes. Entering/updating data onto CRM database.
? Internal Comms – Intranet and News: Relay internal news to Marketing Manager for the Intranet and Web news, as well as delivering marketing communications to the Far East teams.
? Database CRM: Data entry of leads, prospects and opportunities to assist Far East Sales Team. Training of staff in system usage and data quality for accounts.
? Exhibitions & Conferences: Manage the coordinated planning and preparation of exhibitions, conferences, awards, hospitality and other events relating to business activities.
? Merchandise: Coordinate the centralised ordering of merchandise for Group under direction of Marketing Manager. Maintaining physical stocks in warehouse and distribution to staff in all global offices including those in fellow Far East locations.
? Business Cards & Uniform: Liaising with Marketing Manager to order/reorder stocks as needed. Advise on cost effective local supplier solutions and managing local supplier relationships
? Literature: Update or create new literature as needed for Sales support, including; PowerPoint presentations, Factsheets, Office Profiles, Case Studies, Flyers and Brochures. Using corporate design templates and uploading onto Website and/or CRM database when completed. Carry out in-house and out-sourced printing and binding requests.
? FBA Website & SEO: Responsible for upkeep of FBA subsite. Reporting of issues to Marketing Manager. Assist and coordinate Pay-for-Click (adwords or equivalent) campaigns. Working in partnership with appointed SEO consultants and the Marketing Manager.
? Advertising: Where required, discuss ideas with Marketing team and assist in the creation and publication of advertisements or advertorials for print and/or digital.
? Public Relations: Manage all Far East public relations activity including press releases, media relations, community relations, customer relations and hospitality events.
This role provides the opportunity for an experienced assistant or executive level marketing professional to progress to the next stage of their career. In this role they will experience the full range of the marketing tactics in a global company large enough to offer a broad range of responsibility but small enough to still have a close-knit and informal internal working culture.
You will need the following:
Be fluent in English and Chinese languages.
Be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and be calm under pressure
Be confident, have your own ideas and show initiative skills
Have a passion for marketing and demonstrate a solid grasp of marketing theory
Experience in B2B business environment would be a bonus.
Job will require some travel in Far East and occasionally to the UK (expenses reimbursed).
Minimum requirement:
Completed a Marketing degree
Minimum of 1 year working experience in a B2B Marketing role would be a bonus
