Key Responsibilities
?
？ Strategy
o Work with the Product Stream / Business Stakeholders to develop the desired Quality elements of the commodity strategies within the IPO scope (China, Korea, Thailand & Japan) for component export to Americas & Europe
o Support Commodity led Market Screening to identify new potential suppliers where necessary
o Encourage & develop Supplier Quality alignment / relationship with the GKN JV (SDS) in China
o Proactively focus on Supplier Development / CI activity including Functional Specific needs in line with the business stakeholders and identify specific risks and plans to assure a quality focussed, undisrupted supply chain

？ Phase ‘B – D’ Key SQ&D activities
o Support Commodities / Regions / Plants during the full sourcing and or resourcing process including series production for New & Existing suppliers
o Qualify Suppliers according to the GKN Driveline rules
o Lead the IPO SQ team to meet business needs including but not limited to;
？ Program management & APQP activities
？ Capacity studies, supporting SQP’s to verify installed capacity
？ Auditing to GKN & International standards – VDA 6.3, CQI series etc.
？ Quality Complaint Management, supporting Plant SQ’s & SQC’s in series production
？ Change Management / VAVE’s
？ Internal & External Customer specific requirements including Supplier audits / visits

？ Approach / Tools
o Use of Lean philosophy & tools to remove waste from suppliers & improve quality performance
o Strict application & adherence to Quality process throughout the complete sourcing phase
o Application of APQP strictly applied in Programs in the Development & Series production phases
o Deployment of all relevant Quality basics & tools within the suppliers
? ？ Resource & Management
o Lead the IPO SQP/SQD Team
o Work with SQ Global network where & when necessary to define & achieve KPI’s
? ？ Reporting & System
o Lead continued development, measurement & delivery of the Supplier Quality KPI’s
o Drive a Leadership Standard way of working such as:
？ Management of the IPO Weekly & Monthly Quality reports, SQ meetings to standardise approach & highlight
best practice, Participation in Strategic Sourcing Reviews (SSR’s) & Sourcing Nomination Committee’s (SNC’s)

Competences

Formal qualifications required:
? Master’s degree in Engineering / Quality
? Chinese & English (verbal & written)

Previous experience required:
? Minimum 7 years Supplier Quality experience in an Industrial / Automotive International environment
? Minimum 3 years working at a Managerial level with direct reports
? Familiar with Purchasing / Quality Programme Management & Tools
? Used to a matrix organisation within an International environment
? Proven ability to lead a Proactive style of approach whilst being able to manage unforeseen Reactive issues
? Proven ability to manage process audits, supplier progress plans & lead preventative & corrective actions
? Results oriented with strong English oral & written communications skills 举报 分享
