Assistant Outlet Merchandising Manager
Key Objective:
The Assistant Outlet Merchandising Manager will form an integral part of the Matches Merchandising Team by effectively and systematically providing accurate information for allocation planning, stock replenishment and trading purposes. The ideal candidate will have previous hands-on retail experience and strong analytical, numerical and IT skills as well as exceptional team working skills.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Providing crucial support to the Merchandising Team by taking an active role in analyzing sales trends, monitoring deliveries and maintaining stock levels
2. Helping to predict and plan how many of each item will sell, in what color and size
3. Allocating your departments’ product range to ensure there is enough stock to satisfy customer demand whilst safeguarding against a surplus
4. Analyzing merchandise performance in order to maximize sales potential
5. Allocating stock effectively across stores in order to meet and exceed sales goals
6. Monitoring deliveries and stock levels in distribution centers and stores
7. Key point of contact for Stores regarding stock levels
8. Working closely with distribution team to ensure effective movement of stock through the business.
9. Setting up and maintaining Seasonal Range and Allocation plans
10. Effective liaison across all areas of the business
11. Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested
Essential Skills and Experience:
-Degree educated
-Proven proficiency in MS Excel
-Work experience: 5 years+ (retail experience preferred)
-Excellent numerical and analytical skills
-Commercial awareness with a keen interest in the fashion retail industry
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively liaise with all levels of staff
-Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
-Team player
