1. Purpose of the job:
Responsibility of Design Implementation (DI) is to make the transfer of a new design or design change between the Development department and the operations. During the live cycle of a product, the design implementation holds the responsibility for this product keeping track of the various perspectives of customer changes, inventory, Q issues, supply chain issues, production processes
2. Major accountabilities:
2.1. Project
DI set up process for evaluating design progress regarding industrial cost; feasibility; supply chain issues, production capacity; tooling etc. DI assists R&D+PE department to make the prototypes and coordinates the project to bring this to 0 series and to serial production.
2.2. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Di is responsible for data transfer to the operation on mid term based on his follow up meetings with commercial department on lifecycle of a certain product. Di initiates action to lower production costs. DI advises Management on expected results / costs of design changes. In case of design changes Di also the responsibility for the project guidance and release in case of implementation of a design change.
2.3. Coordination
From a project point a view DI has got a very strong coordinating responsibility to the other department within R&D , Design, Operations, Supply Chain & Sales. DI makes sure involved parties in a certain project receive all relevant information & data
2.4. Work preparation
Because of his good point of view on expected product changes, DI has got a can give early warning input to work preparation in component production and assembly
2.5. ERP
DI is responsible for the correct use of BAAN ERP, for all applications related to his area of responsibility
2.6. Scheduling
Understand the scheduling activity.
2.7. Supply Chain
Understand the MRP concept and supply Chain concept
2.8.Experience and knowledge sharing
2.9. Team management
3. Behavioural Competencies & Skills:
Organization sensitivity, Initiative, Perseverance,Manages changes ,Plan & Organise,Progress control ,Communication
4. Job Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree
Good command of English
Knowledge of general machining, assembly and testing processes is plus
Experience in ERP or production related functions is plus
