Main responsibilities:
- Lead Asia Pacific sourcing team to exceed requirements from
- - Asia Pacific operations for localization and cost reduction
- - Global operations for cost reduction programs
- Drive overall purchasing activities for Asia Pacific operation demand
- Coordinate with all category managers to set up annual goals and targets for cost reduction through sourcing from Asia Pacific
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plan under alignment with Group operation plan
- Define annual and monthly goals for materials, components, services and act in Asia Pacific with the right quality, flexible delivery and logistics and at competitive total costs
- Assist in development of International Supply Strategies
- Support supply management activities
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate quality supplier's base in Asia Pacific
- Ensure support of operations and/or programs in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE); ensure supplier improvement and post-launch support
- Create measurements and indicator to monitor the economic health, operating systems, capacity and contract performance of each supplier to assure that cost, quality, delivery, and service expectations are met
- Conduct Quality Reviews with suppliers (Supplier presentations, monitor actions; close BMR, and monitor compliance with third Party Registration Certification (ISO9000, QS9000, ISO/TS 16949)
- Conduct Supplier Profile evaluations on new / existing suppliers
- Request Certification plans from suppliers
- Support Plant SQE on periodic Part & Process Audits
- Participate in contract management
- Function as a liaison between suppliers and Company
- Participate as a member of the Company Team
- Support and promote all Company Way activities
- Responsible for the development and growth of personnel within the assigned sourcing organization to their optimum level and for assuring the continuity of their contribution to the organization
- Build required competence; develop and manage team capable of carrying out needed sourcing initiatives
Requirements:
- Minimum ten years' purchasing/sourcing experiences, business background with progressive materials and procurement experience including five years management experience
- Demonstrated project and program management skills and proven financial capabilities to maintain quality, cost, and timing of programs
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, including English language competence
- Able to work with internal and external contacts at all levels within the organization, represent the company in a professional manner, and to sell concepts to customers and strategies to external and internal management
- Experience in international business
- Good in English (both spoken and written)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and changing priorities
- Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills in order to perform job duties independently and make decisions, which meet company goals and objectives
- Demonstrated leadership in managing the teams in different locations
- Willing to travel frequently(20-40%) including international travel; while utilizing technological solutions for communications, with an ambition to control/reduce travel costs
