A. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
? This role forms an integral part of the Joy Global organization, supporting the initiatives and activities of the Sales team, senior management team
? Helping provide in-depth market dynamics and competitor landscape study, hence build up and refine China business strategy
? Providing customer and market-related data and analysis that is meaningful, accurate, timely, easily accessible and cost efficiently developed:
? Analysis of China/ Southeast Asia commodity demand, supply, price levels, and the fundamentals driving them
? Analysis of the customer base, planning and equipment purchase
? Analysis of mining equipment companies and the drivers of their investment decisions
? Analysis of demand and price sensitivity of capital equipment and services supporting the mining and energy industries
? Analysis of competitors’ mission, vision, goals, strategies and actions
? Establishing strong connections with sales and product management teams
B. BACKGROUND
Qualifications
? This position requires at least Bachelor degree (equivalent or above), plus a minimum 3 years in depth experience on mining and /or mining equipment markets.
? Hands –on familiarity with PC-based software e.g. MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge and Abilities
? Intimate and up-to-date knowledge of mining equipment applications in the underground/surface environment, great sense of mining market dynamics and competitor landscape
? Basic knowledge of appropriate Chinese Standards.
? Ability to synthesize relevant information and apply analytical thinking.
? Strong ability to collect mining industry intelligence.
? Strong ability to analysis the mining industry trend based on the collected information.
? Strong interpersonal, networking and human relations skills.
? Strong communication and presentation skills.
? “Team player” personality able to share and contribute across other industry sectors
? Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
? Active listening skills.
? Superior ethics, personal commitment and integrity.
? High motivation and fit with the Company’s corporate culture and values.
