Position Purpose
The MRO ( Maintenance, Repair and Operation) Supplier Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing the MRO supply base to meet Quality, Delivery, Responsiveness, and Cost metrics for the plants. This role is responsible to align those tactics and strategies based on Commodity Strategy and site needs.
Essential Functions
? Manage supplier performance in key metrics areas including, but not limited to, Quality, Deliver, Responsiveness, and Cost (QDRC)
? Understands the associated commodity strategies and supports execution of sourcing strategies within the commodity strategy and framework, including supplier assessments, development and business transitions
? Facilitates periodic performance reviews with key suppliers to review performance, establish corrective action plans, and ensure implementation of those action plans
? Drives and manages supply base to ensure compliance with plant purchasing requirements
? Demonstrated experience working with Global Sourcing team and suppliers on project transitions and ongoing global sourcing activities
? Demonstrated ability to develop plans, organize, contribute and/or implement supply base projects (rationalization, supply base change, etc.)
? Ability to participate in negotiations with suppliers on any operational issue
? Ensures compliance with requirements in various contractual agreements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
? Build and maintain effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders across domestic and international functions and organizations
? Lead change and drive results within organization, both internally and externally across domestic and international functions and organizations
? Ability to convey complex topics to medium sized groups internally and externally
? Strong use of electronic tools including MS-Office programs, MRP/ERP systems
? Good written and verbal English
Education or Formal Training
? BA/BS in Materials and/or Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
? MA/MS in applicable field is preferred
? APICS, CPIM is preferred
Experience Required
Above 6 years hands-on expertise in Purchasing (supplier manager, purchasing manager, etc.). Among which, minimum 3 years experience in MRO procurement.
