SUMMARY

The Product Marketing & Training Manager is responsible for identifying and understanding the product markets, channels and applications for the portfolio of IR equipment. Understanding both the current needs from existing customers / channels and other potential product opportunities are core responsibilities of the role. This highly collaborative role will work closely with PM&PD, Product Engineering, Asia P&D, sales, local marketing team(if any) and manufacturing in developing our product strategies and promoting our products in Asia region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads the development of market specific product plans, both new and existing, to achieve segment objectives, attain maximum contribution margin and develop maximum potential volume from all regional markets.

Blends market research with the voice of our customers, end users and other key stakeholders in developing a prioritized product plan for the region.

Supports sales, brand, and event marketing providing expertise on product related issues, competitive environment, end-users, and applications of assigned product line(s).

Works cross functionally to determine the product content and value proposition for assigned access products from concept through the product life cycle for all appropriate markets.

Proposes and analyzes potential line extensions and/or new product concepts to fuel the product planning process.

Performs analysis and makes recommendations for changes to pricing, promotional tactics, and other critical marketing variables.

Analyzes internal and external data to validate program effectiveness, product quality and content, and changing customer requirements -- and organizes corrective actions. Further establishes channels through which customer feedback is captured and incorporated into our product strategy.

Works with Asia P&D or channel partners to develop joint plans for distribution. This involves planning, training, and identification of information to help the channel with their efforts.

Participates in the development of training activities designed to improve the performance of the sales team.

Supports the forecasting process with analysis of product mix and customer preferences. Tracks market share changes.

Monitors effectiveness of channels of distribution and works with Asia P&D, sales to adjust selling strategies in order to maximize sales revenues, margins, and market share growth.

Establishes and maintains business relationships with appropriate leaders of our existing and potential customers.

Performs other duties and responsibilities necessary for the achievement of the sales and market share objectives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

B.A. or B.S. in Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields required.

A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a proven track record in product marketing in heavy industry and total work experience should be around 10 years.

Evidence of intermediate analytical skills, strong computer skills, and excellent communication skills.

Must be an expert in end-user applications and product knowledge. He/she must also be knowledgeable in competitive markets (products, pricing, distribution channels)

A comprehensive understanding of market research methodology and its application to specific product/program is highly beneficial.

Demonstrated capability in market development and product planning required leveraging relationships and communications with end- users / distribution partners.

Fluency in both spoken English and written English
