Sales Director--Chemical, Polymer, special material field

The Company

It is a global specialty chemicals company, a Fortune 500 company. It expertise and competencies cover manufacturing unsaturated polyester resins and epoxy vinyl ester resins, gelcoats, bonding pastes, adhesives and specialty products for a variety of applications including corrosion resistance, wind energy and automotive.

Position Description

Reporting Direct to Vice President APAC, Performance Materials in Shanghai

-4 direct reports; 13 + staff (average 35-37 years old) divided into 4 Sectors- Wind, Corrosion, Open Mold, and close Mold)
-Focus on planning and directing the sales activities in Composites China. This position is responsible for sales performance by identification of new business opportunities, execution of sales strategic plan. Need to work closely with marketing, technology, product management, sourcing and supply chain. Coach and develop sales personnel in the organization. Leader of the Performance Materials Global Technology China organization responsible for product development and technical service.
-Current Sales revenue of USD100 million for Composites Business and with plan to grow to USD200 million by 2014

Position Requirements

-Lead the sales team to achieve sales performance
-Implement strategic business plan and marketing strategies for long term business growth
-Build strong relationship with key clients, distributors
-Work closely with product management, marketing, technology group, platform team to identify new business opportunities
-Lead and develop sales team members by performance management, coaching, providing training
-Work with related functions like supply chain, finance etc. for overall sales management

Must Have
?
-Minimum 12+ year's commercial experience, with minimum of 6+ years at the management/supervisory level in chemical WOFE or joint venture (Specialty Chemical and Chemical companies prefer; US company prefer)
-Strong leadership skill - ability to coach and develop direct reports
-Solid Track record in key account management and new business development
-Strong communication (also influence) skill, both in Chinese and English, with team, peers and senior management team
