Sales Director, Asia

Public lay in US, Velcro is a technology-driven global organization with a 50 years history of providing fastening solutions for businesses and consumers around the world. The company targets the Asia pacific region to spearhead its global growth strategies

Location

Shanghai

Position Description

-Develop and coordinate sales objectives consistent with the Company's strategic business plan. Establish annual and monthly sales plans by class of customer.
-Hire, retain, develop and mentor field sales managers, account managers, customer service managers and business development managers.
-Establish compensation, training and sales incentive plans for all sales professionals.
-Work closely with the Director of Marketing APAC to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs.
-Establish business rules that sustain the Asia sales growth objectives while increasing profitability and the effectiveness of the Velcro China operation.
-Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base.
-Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.

Position Requirements

-Demonstrated ability to create annual sales plans, maintain metrics and adjust strategies and tactics as needed.
-Demonstrated ability to hire, develop/coach and retain sales professionals.
-Ability to travel up to 50% of the time without any restrictions for traveling to Hong Kong, USA and the European Union.
-Strong Microsoft Office capabilities including Excel and Power Point.
-Fluent in English.
-University degree.

Desired:

-Experience selling/managing customers in Asia geographies (experience beyond mainland China based customers).
-B2C experience in addition to B2B.
-Experience includes hands on Key Account Management.
-Experience includes selling to one or more of the following verticals-Transportation, Medical, Personal Care/Hygiene, Apparel.
-Experience with CRM software,ideally Oracle based.
-MBA.
