Principal Firmware Engineer
Location
Shanghai
Position Description
-Create technical design specifications based on system requirements. 20%
-Convert design specifications into high quality working code within allocated time frame.40%
-Perform unit and system integration testing, resolve bugs and errors identified during all testing phases.20%
-Fully capable of using the Safety Products software development, process and design tools.10%
-Assist Hardware Engineers when trying to isolate problems to hardware or software. 5%
-Mentor junior engineers.5%
Position Requirements
-7-8 work experience on software development
-Strong experience with C/C++ under Linux.
-Knowledge of video and audio codecs /specifications related.
-Good English communication, both verbal and written.
-Strong preference with experience developing video products, such as Encoder/Decoder, IP camera, DVR, NVR, etc.
-Strong in Boot loader BSP/driver development.
-Strong experience with ARM/PPC or TI's V/A processor.
-Solid experience on Network programming, RTP or other realtime media streaming protocols.
-Dealing with compressed audio & video streams (e.g. parsing, muxing, demuxing, streaming, recording, etc.).
-Engineering project management experience is a plus.
-Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
-BS/MS in Computer Science or related majors.
