Principal Hardware Engineer
Location
Shanghai
Position Description
-Develop cost-effective designs that meet product technical requirements.
-Create architectural level design working closely with Embedded Software Engineers to translate product goals into workable product architecture.
-Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering determining the manufacturing and test requirements and test procedures for the new design.
-Work closely with the New Product Introduction team as the product is introduced into the manufacturing process.
-Work closely with Regulatory Engineering to ensure products meet worldwide regulatory and product safety standards.
-Leads design reviews with multi-functional teams.
-Assist in determining test requirements and equipment needs for new projects.
-Write detailed functional product descriptions.
-Mentor junior engineers.
Position Requirements
-Strong experience with developing DVR, cameras/domes, CCTV switch, video-based products.
-Solid knowledge and experience of EMC/EMI, DFM/DFT, signal integrity and quality, power management and cost sensitivity.
-Knowledge of full life cycle hardware design processes and methodologies, high commitment to hardware quality.
-Demonstrated strength in working with a team of cross-functional designers to meet aggressive project schedules.
-Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, problem solving, and an ability to learn quickly.
-Proficient with the English Language, with good verbal and written communication skill.
-Experience on CPLD/FPGA development with Verilog/VHDL is preferred.
-Project management experience is preferred.
-Bachelor degree and above in Electrical Engineering or related field.
-10+ years electronic design experience.
