China Sales Director

Company

Our client has invested around Euro 160 million in JiangSu plant since 2011, currently in Phase 1 stage (total 714,000 square meters). The Plan for Phase 1 is to grow the production up to 10,000 tons/month (sales revenue around RMB600 to 700 million) in 1 year time and fulfill the capacity of 30,000tons/m in 2-3 years' time. Currently company has about 250 staff in China including 6-7 staff in Shanghai to cover sales and purchasing. The 80-90% of business will be coming from 1) ERW (Welded Tube) production and sales; and 2) Cylinder Tube production and sales. JiangSu plant will produce products that sell to domestic China market, as well as to other international market / Clients.

Position Description

This is newly created position to build up the commercial team and sales strategy to support the domestic sales in China. This is a critical position to lead the business growth in China, open doors to new client; maintain strong partnership with existing clients; assist in define product strategy and marketing strategy, so product can be tailor-made to local market. The person must have ambition, energy and vision to grow the business to Phase 1 target and beyond.

-Understand the company philosophy, products and quality standards
-Identify product application within the Chinese market and develop sales strategy together with the board and GM
-Lead the sales team to achieve sales performance and drive the national sales of the company, reorganize sale organization in order to achieve the targets
-Develop yearly operations plans and procedures for the company
-Define with GM the annual profit target for the company
-Identify potential clients both OEM's and not (distributors, agents, etc.) and define action plan to approach and secure new business for the company
-Maintain and improve business relationship with KA and all customer of the company
-Be actively involved in business development - new clients / new opportunities
-Supervise, train and motivate sales team; define KPI
-Increase sales team based on the sales strategy and business performance
-Monitor sales department spending
-Control Account Receivables

Position Requirements

-Bachelor or above degree majored in Engineering or related
-Overseas study and MBA will be plus
-At least 5 years work experience in Steel Industry
-Proven outstanding sales track record in past work experience
-Have the ability to deal with multiple priorities while working on the simultaneous projects
-Have the ability to communicate effectively with the clients and other related parties
-Have organizational skills to effectively organize the department and action plans
-Have the ability to settle the disputes properly and clear the issues and conflicts as well
