POSITION SUMMARY: The director program management is responsible for the portfolio of programs sponsored within the region. As the single point of contact for the VP Program Management and Regional President, the regional director has leadership responsibility for the effective and efficient integration of cross-functional program teams, program execution and is the regional champion for the Gates Program Management System (GPMS).

This role provides the key program management interface between the region, product lines and all other global organizations involved in regional programs and has accountability for delivering projects on schedule, on budget and at the approved level of product and process performance approved in the project baseline.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.
 
1 20% Implementation and continuous improvement of the GPMS
2 60% Provides leadership for the development and execution of integrated program plans in accordance with GPMS. Works closely with regional commercial teams, operations, functional centers of excellence and product lines to ensure programs are properly prioritized and executed.
3 20% Provide PM leadership to project managers and functional organizations across multiple geographic regions.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads project and sub-project managers

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
? 10 years of progressive industry experience with demonstrated results in program execution
? Bachelor’s Degree in related field (PMP is desirable)
? Automotive experience
REQUIRED SKILLS:
? Experience in partnering with business leaders on developing and driving global initiatives.
? High Level interpersonal and leadership skills; must be able to influence and coach across multiple levels within the company and locations; including establishing global partnerships
? Excellent communication skills written and verbal
? Demonstrated business acumen
? Demonstrated success in managing large complex programs
? Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite with emphasis in MS Project.
