The Health, Safety, Security, Sustainability and Compliance (HS3C) group is responsible for ensuring that Amazon meets all product safety and product compliance laws and regulations WW in all the marketplaces that it serves. The HS3C Worldwide Learning Organization (WWLO) implements learning solutions that transfer knowledge and optimize both individual and organizational performance. WWLO’s learning and performance support solutions contribute to the attainment of HS3C’s business goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Health, Safety, Sustainability, Security and Compliance (HS3C) Worldwide Learning Organization (WWLO) is seeking a Sr. Instructional Designer. This position will be part of the HS3C Worldwide Learning Organization (WWLO), is located in Bangalore, India, and will report directly to the HS3C WW Learning Leader. In your role, you will work with program managers and subject matter experts across multiple HS3C and Compliance Operations to develop learning and performance support solutions including but not limited to instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, instructional videos, eLearning, simulations, learning games, assessments, and electronic performance support systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need to apply your knowledge of learning sciences and learning theories to determine the best learning and/or performance intervention to optimize performance. You must able to conduct a job task analysis and determine the best modality to transfer knowledge and build proficiency. You will build custom learning and performance support solutions to meet the unique needs of the HS3C Compliance Operations and their business partners. You will partner with the WW Operations Learning and Development teams to leverage existing learning technologies and implement learning programs. You will also implement learning evaluation protocols to measure the effectiveness of the learning solutions you develop.

Key Performance Areas Include:
The HS3C WWLO Sr. Instructional Designer (Compliance Operations) will:
Lead the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs to support HS3C Compliance Operations initiatives.
Develop learning and performance support solutions that optimize performance and promote compliance with Amazon policies and regulatory laws.
Assist in the development of standardized learning management processes and procedures, and templates.
Ensure that the HS3C Compliance Operations curriculum is tracked and maintained in the enterprise Learning Management System.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the HS3C Compliance Operations learning programs and learning activities administered. Develop and execute a learning evaluation strategy and plan which includes all four levels of the Kirkpatrick model; Learner Reaction, Knowledge Acquisition, Behavior Change, and Business Impact/Results. Measure solution effectiveness and scalability of delivery modalities by using continuous feedback loops and mechanisms to identify gaps and recommend and create scalable learning solutions to improve learner retention, job performance, and the overall employee experience as well as the attainment of HS3C Compliance Operation’s business goals.

Basic Qualifications
8+ years’ work experience instructional design, training program management, and training project management
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent post-secondary degree required in Instructional System Design, Education, Business Administration, or a related field
Proficient in English (verbal and written)
Experience in assessing performance gaps, analyzing learning needs, designing and developing learning and performance support solutions, facilitating learning activities, and evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs
Experience conducting a job task analysis and developing blended learning programs which include face-to-face instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, a-synchronous learning activities, self-paced eLearning, electronic performance support, video demonstrations, software simulations, behavioral simulations and learning games
Ability to develop multiple WW projects with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced, frugal environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation
Experience working with business and learning technologies including Microsoft Office, eLearning development software like Articulate Studio/Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Connect, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Premiere & Flash, DITA XML, Microsoft SharePoint, A/V software and A/V equipment
Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) for hosting, data collection and reporting purposes.
Ability to deliver results in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
Proven effective consulting skills with an ability to drive impact
High attention to detail, organization and accountability
Ability to travel WW

Preferred Qualifications
Masters or Doctorate degree in Education, Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, German, and other languages is considered an asset
Instructional Design certification
Facilitation certification
eLearning development training and/or certification
Advanced website development experience
Lean, Six Sigma certification
Project Management certification
Knowledge of learning sciences research
