Quality engineer
Immediate superior: Quality Management Supervisor

1. Good knowledge in machining and measuring tolerances. E.g. Must be familiar with: standard precision/tolerance of a
micrometre gauge, calliper, ruler, CMM, bearing, shaft, sand casting, die casting, milling machine, grinding machine!
2. Roughness Ra requirements of a grinded shaft, how to get heat treatment 54HRC, process at suppliers to get all required documents?
3. Flexible in travelling to suppliers to stay away from family for several days or weeks?
4. Working experience on machines (e.g. lathe, milling) to understand material and machining requirements.
5. Evaluation of 8D reports from suppliers. For new suppliers, need to write PQCS.
6. To act as a consultant of suppliers to develop them towards 0-defect strategy, e.g. teach Poka yoke, SPC, 5S, Six Sigma, Error proofing skills.

Education:
? Bachelor degree or above
? Mechanical Engineering background
? Working experience on lathe, milling, etc. (machining)
? Fluent English in spoken and written. Professional experience:
? min 5 years quality work experience in mechanical and motor industry field,3+year in house quality management experience
? Quality system experience and certificate of ISO 9001 is required, VDA 6.3 or ISO 16949/VDA is preferred.

Key areas of responsibility:
1. Take charge of quality issue of our products. Improve internal and external quality performance. Reduce scrap by effective action.
2. Take charge of material receiving inspection.
3. Take charge of customer complain. Lead team to find out root cause, prepare 8D report, give feedback to customer timely.
5. Good engineering and process change control of product change to ensure no quality incident.


Main job tasks:
1. Reduce scrap IPPM and EPPM.
2. Draw up material inspection plan and FQA inspection plan, analyse the material performance data, do inspection adjustment according to the ppm.
3. Solve quality problem with local and oversea team.
4. Have telephone quality meeting with foreign team USA, STH…to review quality issue regularly.
5. Summary quality issue by weekly and monthly report.
6. Finish material qualification together with other team members.
7. Hold regular quality meetings with other departments
