Specific responsibilities of the position:
1. Ensure the Control Import budget is delivered
2. Manage assigned customers and budget base; pursue and secure business in line with the corporate and cluster objectives within the Import Control Sales Channel.
3. Update salesforce.com system with good data quality
4. Establish internal network in Great China Cluster and globally to facilitate resolution of customer issues.
5. Build understanding of all service offerings to be able to offer integrated solutions.
6. Communicate significant trade trends, rate changes and policies to assigned accounts.
7. Timely report market intelligence, trade/industry trends, accounts development to TNM, management and relevant parties.
8. Research and understand the territory to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers.
9. Research and analyse competitive and industry trends (e.g. analyse sales statistics, prepare reports, study literature regarding new and existing services and monitor sales, prices and services of competitors); recommend appropriate measures.
10. Prepare and pre-plan sales visits
11. Provide input to sales report and other Ad-hoc reporting required
12. Handle free time requests and claim cases properly
13. Promote E-Commerce services for IMP customers
14. Constantly improve customer satisfaction
15. Effectively handle sales related internal and external visitors in close coordination with trade desk
16. Participate in Customer events; represent ML on fairs / exhibitions
17. Participate in IMP Strategy meetings
Specific requirements for the position:
1. Excellent interpersonal communication skill
2. At least 3 years’ experience in shipping liner industry or relevant industry and import knowledge is preferred
3. Excellent reporting and MS office skills
4. Strategic negotiation skills
5. Proficient English/Chinese in speaking and writing
6. Good understanding and live up to company’s values
7. Good team spirit
